Other pen names used by Geisel: Theo LeSieg (Geisel spelled backwards), Rosetta Stone, and Dr. Theophrastus Geisel.

Not a Doctor: The Grinch is not a doctor and neither was Dr. Seuss.

Box Office Mojo: How the Grinch Stole Christmas is by far Jim Carrey's most successful movie. Both in terms of actual box office receipts and box office receipts adjusted for inflation.

Top Dog: The Grinch's dog is named Max.

Residence: The Grinch lives on Mount Crumpit. Not Whoville.

Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical

The musical adaptation of How the Grinch Stole Christmas started in Minneapolis in 1994, where it also showed in 1995 and 1998 to enthusiastic audiences.

In 1998 the musical began playing in San Diego, where it has shown every year since then.

The production hit the big time and Broadway in 2006 where it quickly became the hottest ticket on Broadway. The Grinch put an end to Wicked's run of a hundred weeks as to top show on Broadway.

Since then this fan favorite has toured to different cities around the country.
